What is a CVB?

Discover Lake Lanier (Lake Lanier Convention & Visitors Bureau - CVB) is charged with promoting the Hall County, Georgia area to travelers. The purpose of promoting tourism is to help drive spending in the local area. This generates revenue for local businesses and also adds to local tax coffers. Lake Lanier CVB is a private non-profit corporation governed by a volunteer board of directors. As a quasi-governmental agency, we are funded mostly by the collection of hotel/motel occupancy taxes.
