Summer Discovery Days at Elachee

Join us at Elachee Nature Science Center this June and July for a summer filled with exploration, education, and adventure! No pre-registration required.

Summer Nature Center and Indoor Exhibit Hours:

Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays

10:00 am to 3:00 pm

🦉Animal Encounters – Meet our incredible animal ambassadors up close!

🔍 Discovery Room Activities – Hands-on, unique fun that sparks curiosity and learning.

🏛️ Exhibits – Explore fascinating displays and uncover the secrets of nature.

 🌱 Interactive Activities – Engage with our knowledgeable naturalists for facilitated activities and learn something new each visit!

🐝June Featured Programs: Insects and Pollinators

Discover the fascinating world of pollinators and their vital role in our ecosystem! From fluttering butterflies to busy bees, dive into hands-on activities each Thursday and Friday at 1:00 pm, as well as a special Life Cycle program each Saturday.

🌊July Featured Programs: Pond Life Program at Chicopee Lake

Dive into the wonders of pond life at Chicopee Lake! Join us to uncover the hidden creatures beneath the surface of this aquatic habitat and learn their role in this unique ecosystem. This program will be offered each Thursday and Friday at 1:00 pm, as well as a special We All Live Downstream program each Saturday. Thursday and Friday 1pm Pond Programs will take place at Chicopee Woods Aquatic Studies Center (2100 Calvary Church Road, Gainesville GA 3057).

All hiking trails and outdoor exhibits will remain open every day. Please note that Camp Elachee will be hosted on our campus each day from June 3rd until July 26th.
