USO Dance & Desserts Fundraiser Event

Dust off your Lindy dresses & Victory Suits and polish your saddle shoes! On Thursday, April 30th, 2026, the Gainesville Civic Center will transform into a 1940s-era canteen for USO Dance and Desserts. The Southern Journey Band will play standards from the era as the Atlanta Historic Dance Company shows guests the popular steps from the time. This nostalgic evening serves as a dual fundraiser for our community: The Northeast Georgia History Center and Gainesville’s own 14-year-old Caleb Schneider, the first ever Youth Ambassador for Tours of Duty.

Buy your tickets from the History Center or online at Event Registration – Northeast Georgia History Center

Can’t make the event but want to show your support? Email Amelia at info@negahc.org to buy raffle tickets. Winning ticket will be drawn at the end of the event.

We extend our gratitude to Jan and Gene Cobb for their sponsorship of this fun event.
